Szeged is a very charming city. I enjoy its atmosphere very much. There is a limited amount of activities to be done during the evenings, but I actually went there for work, so I might not be informed enough.
I enjoyed the open air market on Saturdays at Mars Tér; it's a very good place to buy fresh and local products, vegetables and fruits. Otherwise I liked simply strolling around the city.

If you want a weekend break in a provincial city in Central Europe, let Szeged be your destination. This is not just another town in the Land of the Magyars - and I have been to about 15 of them. The Art Nouveau (or Succession) architecture is fabulous. Go to the Mora Museum. Check out the Dom and the Synagogue. All glory to the City of Sunshine.

Szeged is a wonderful city which has a rich history, a beautiful culture and many things to offer!
It has great landmarks (like Votive Church, New Synagogue, Fekete Ház, Botanical Garden, Víztorony, Dugonics Tér, etc).
Students from many countries choose this place because it's vibrant.
Speaking of health tourism, many individuals come every year to the thermal baths and to the spa.

Szeged is maybe a bit under estimated!
Szeged is maybe a bit under estimated! It is a nice city, lot's of art deco houses. Nive boulevards and nice squares, good coffee shops.
Also a better Christmas market than in Budapest.
Outstanding thermal "Anna bathe" and fun at the aqua park, others side of the river.
Worth to make the trip to this city. I go there every time that I'm in Hungary.

Szeged is a beautiful university town in the South of Hungary. Its selection of buildings from the end of 1800s and beginning of 1900s is remarkable. There are so many to appreciate. The cathedral and its square are well worth a visit. It is a lively place due to the university students' presence and so feels a youthful place to visit. As it is compact it is easy to get around. But as in many places in Europe there are an abundance of canines. Watching where you walk is always wise.
As we regularly visit Szeged we always use Novotel as it combines in one the quality of room and beds with very good breakfast and a central location from which the lively pedestrain zone is just 5 minutes walk through the river park away.
The absolutely amazing is that my doughter lost her bracelet in the room and we realized it hours later. A simple call to the hotel was enough and we got an email later that it was found and we can get it by our next visit in two weeks. We got it back. Absolutely amazing a brilliant staff!!!
It is a very nice and practical apartment with an AC unit, which is very helpful in this hot summer.
I would also like to thank my host for understanding and even answering my phone call at 6 am to ask about the room.
It practically saved my whole trip to Szeged, as I've had an unpleasant experience the night before in a hotel.
I would definitely recommend booking here also because the price is excellent for what it offers and its location close to the city center.
The location is excellent. The rooms are spacious, very clean, tastefully decorated, ensuring a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Beds very comfortable, white linen very clean. Very good breakfast , diversified with fresh products and even prepared on the spot on request. Very polite and professional staff. Free and safe parking in the hotel courtyard. I highly recommend this hotel, we will definitely stay here if we have road through Szeged.
Excellent position in Szeged! It's our first stay in Szeged in this hotel and probably another one. Hotel looking small from outside but inside is good enough. Hotel have parking for 15eur per day. Breakfast is delicious and have same local special offers. Staff is very fast, kind and professional. Room is clean and big enough for every family or one person. Hotel is pet friendly and have unique design of science inside.
Very friendly and helpful guest house owners, flexible check in time till midnight, exceptionally clean rooms. We had a huge nice balcony shared with our neighbours and there was a very green garden underneath. Though there were very basic room amenities, we had all we needed for a good night sleep after a long way transiting from Germany to Bulgaria through Hungary.
The hotel was above our expectations. The hotel in 3 min away from the center. The superior studio we stayed in was spacious, had a very comfortable large bed, a comfy couch and large TV. The room was quiet and extremely clean. We also used their secure parking for an additional fee (7 eur). The best accomodation we stayed in, in Szeged.
We were in the hotel for one night at 1 time, but this is not our first time in Szeged. Great hotel, spacious rooms. Wonderful pillows and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was very plentiful. We were served by young, smiling and competent people who know English and are very well educated.
Attention to details to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We always make a stop in Szeged during our road trips and Noir hotel will be our top choice going forward. Such a comfortable bed and spotless apartment hotel apartment is actually hard to find even in large cities.

The staff at the pansion was very pleasant, the room was nice and very clean and the breakfast was great. The place gives more than enough for the price it costs. Definitely our place to stay again when we come back to Szeged some day.
The room was clean, the staff was extremely kind and helpful. Hotel is situated in very quiet area, yet close to the city center and every important landmark. If we visit Szeged again, we will definitely stay at the same hotel!
Location was good, easy to find and we thanks to our hosts that they waited for us till 23 o'clock at night due to some delay on Hungary - Serbia border.
Parking inside also is a plus
Spacious rooms with extremely high ceiling
Birds in the courtyard played lovely a symphony on the sunrise
3 minutes walk to Szeged Aquapark which was out point of interest
